This is the place to stay in Rio. The location is absolutely perfect, on the edge of Copacabana beach and 5 minutes from Ipanema. We upgraded to receive a balcony facing Copacabana which we highly recommend, it was magical seeing Copacabana and sugar loaf mountain from our balcony. Service is really excellent. Big shout out to a number of concierge specialists including Lionel and the fantastic Maurice. Live music in the evening was also fantastic.

Great location on the corner of Ipanema and Copacabana. Gorgeous views over front pool, more relaxed pool at the back. Very comfortable rooms, choice of restaurants and great clothes shop, bike hire was a nice touch. Friendly concierge and reception staff, and waiting staff in restaurant/bars

Second time here, and once again great hotel. The facilities are top, the room great, and overall a great experience. The Gold Lounge staff keeps being the reference in this hotel for customer service - everyone there is top notch

Perfectly situated on the edge of Copacabana and Ipanema, the views are absolutely stunning. We had a King Ocean View room and woke up to views of Sugarloaf. The rooms are very spacious and the bed incredibly comfortable, all kept very clean and tidy by housekeeping (thanks Maria and team). Indeed what really makes the place is the staff; exceptionally friendly and helpful with a special mention to Luceanne, a concierge who arranged trips, helped us plan our days and was just a general all round star. Just excellent as was Alfredo and the team on the door and the rest of the staff, just too many to mention individually! General facilities were excellent.

Beautiful views of Rio but the hotel was super busy and the service was slow. Restaurant food quality has decreased vs few years ago. I also felt the rooms were « older ». Air con not working for 2 days, no hot water for a day. We had a beautiful room on the 9th floor but the noise from the street was terrible and this needs to be fixed.

We had, again, a wonderful stay at Fairmont Rio. Breakfast is excellent, as well as dinner at Marine Resto and the gelatos of Coa & Co. The chance of having live music by the pool allied to the excellent quality of food and beverages provided great moments at the hotel. Room is cozy and comfortable. The staff is attentive and kind, all of them, but Dhom made the difference with his service at the Spirit by the poll. We also recommend the yoga classes and stand up paddle at the beach.

The staff was extremely nice, helpful and caring. They texted us everyday on what's app with updates on weather and information but also to check on us, book activities. The location is perfect, right on Copacabana beach where all the magic happens. Very safe with security everywhere

Very nice location with beautiful view sitting outside. Very good buffet The lady running the breakfast receiving us and showing us to the table was very accomodating, helpful and service orientated. Very good at remembering our names. Gave a great impression. Also Silvio Alfreda at the pool side bar was very helpful and accomodating.
